List
The List view in Turfpal's Planner provides a comprehensive, tabular overview of all tasks. This guide explains how to use and interact with the List view.
Accessing the List View
- Navigate to the "Planning" section in the left sidebar.
- Select "Planner" from the dropdown menu.
- In the Planner view, click the List view icon (it looks like a bulleted list) in the top toolbar.
Understanding the List View
The List view displays tasks in a table format with the following columns:
- ID: Unique identifier for each task
- Description: Brief description or name of the task
- User: The primary user assigned to the task
- Start date: When the task is scheduled to begin
- End date: When the task is scheduled to end
- Created date: When the task was created in the system
- Created by: User who created the task
Interacting with the List View
Sorting Tasks
Click on any column header to sort the list by that column. For example:
- Click on "Start date" to sort tasks chronologically
- Click on "Description" to sort tasks alphabetically
Filtering Tasks
Use the filter options at the top of the List view to refine your view:
- Task type: Filter by specific task types
- Users: Show tasks assigned to specific team members
- Location: Filter tasks by location
- Status: Show only tasks with specific statuses
Viewing Task Details
Click on any row in the list to open the detailed view of that task, where you can see and edit all task information.
Bulk Actions
You can perform actions on multiple tasks at once:
- Use the checkboxes on the left of each row to select multiple tasks.
- Look for a bulk action menu (not visible in the current screenshot) to perform actions like changing status or assigning users to multiple tasks simultaneously.
Additional Features
Date Range Selection
Use the date range selector in the top right corner to view tasks within a specific time period.
View Options
Utilize the view options next to the date range selector to switch between different time frames (e.g., Week, Month) or visualization styles.
Task Creation
Click the "New task" button in the top left to create a new task directly from the List view.
Best Practices
- Use filters and sorting to quickly find specific tasks or groups of tasks.
- Regularly review the list to ensure all tasks are up to date and properly assigned.
- Utilize the List view for comprehensive task management and for getting a quick overview of all planned work.
