Products

The Products module in Turfpal allows you to manage all the products used in your turf management operations. This comprehensive guide will help you navigate and utilize the Products module effectively.

Overview

The Products module provides a centralized location to:

  • View and manage your product inventory
  • Add new products to your catalog
  • Categorize and organize products
  • Track product details and application information

Product List

To access the product list:

  1. Navigate to the "Resources" section in the main menu
  2. Select "Products" from the dropdown

The product list displays the following information:

  • Product ID
  • Name
  • Type
  • Category
  • Created date

Actions

At the top of the product list, you'll find several action buttons:

  • + New product: Add a new product to your catalog
  • Import: Import a list of products from an external file
  • Export: Export your product list for external use or reporting

Adding a New Product

To add a new product:

  1. Click the "+ New product" button
  2. Fill out the product details in the form that appears

Product Details

The new product form is divided into several sections:

Identification

  • Active: Toggle to set the product as active or inactive
  • Has expiration date: Toggle if the product has an expiration date
  • Name: Enter the product name
  • Supplier: Select the supplier from the dropdown
  • Category: Choose or add a new category (e.g., Granular fertilizers, Liquid fertilizers, Pesticides)
  • Hazard category: Select the appropriate hazard level (Hazardous, Non Hazardous)
  • Aggregation type: Choose the product's physical form (e.g., Liquid, Soluble, Granular)
  • Active ingredients: List the active ingredients in the product
  • Nutrient composition: Specify the nutrient breakdown (can be added after saving)

Details

  • Weight/unit size: Specify the product's weight or unit size
  • Overall value per weight: Enter the value per unit of weight
  • Mixing level: Indicate the mixing ratio if applicable
  • Gravity: Specify the product's specific gravity if relevant
  • Current market price: Enter the current price of the product

Application Routine

  • Min application rate: Set the minimum recommended application rate
  • Max application rate: Set the maximum recommended application rate
  • Application rate per: Specify the unit for application rate (e.g., per m², per hectare)
  • Spreading litre or grammes per m2 recommendations: Provide detailed application recommendations
  • Safety requirements: List any safety precautions or requirements for handling the product
